Just be Held!
My prayer for you today is to be held by the arms of a loving God!
I have to be honest and share that sometimes it would be nice to be held by the arms of a man. God has blessed me with a son, who is now a man, who hugs me often!
Being single sometimes brings loneliness and when you deal with this emotion and add other issues of life, such as finances, family, health, and the burdens of others, it can be a difficult road, let's say impossible at times. Some of you out there are married and still feel this sense of loneliness! My own loneliness prods me on to the exact reason why I can't walk this road alone. I wasn't meant to walk it alone an I don't think you are meant to walk it alone either. It isn't a choice for me, it is a necessity to believe! It is faith that finds it's way to my heart, through the flawless, unfailing, unfathomable love of a generous, gracious loving Lord! I must have His living water and partake daily. I need His words and His Holy spirit to penetrate my soul.
Lets just feel really held for a moment! Than make it longer than a moment for a Savior that can hold it all and forever, even the Universe in the palm of His beloved hand. "Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you, (hold you up, support you) He shall never permit the righteous to be moved" Psalms 55:22.
Are you looking for just a quick hug, I know I am not. I am looking for a relationship revived with His pure JOY! With the peace we cannot understand and only can find in His presence. How about you, are you looking for more than fake and phony? God says search me and know me..come to me with your heavy burdens and I will give you rest. His arms are filled with tenderness and compassion, we find it all through his word. It's His REAL hand that we need to hold as we walk this journey. We don't need someone's agenda, we need agape love! We need the love that sustains, that removes the stains of sin! We need Christ to shed the light to help us not stumble in the dark. Allow Him today to hold you and to mold you and to remind you that you too have a heart after His.

The gift of the Kiss!
I love the way Ann Voskamp puts it, as you unwrap the gift, it is but a kiss. Your story and my story and the story of the unborn begins with the simplicity of the kiss of love! In the beginning is when the story came about. It starts with a kiss from above. The Father of the whole universe knelt close and closer until His breath breathed upon our being and His life and love filled us warm and fully alive!
Our Father knows the greatest gift that our heart really needs and wants is the ultimate gift of love. To feel safe and secure within His arms of compassion.
Our masterpiece in life is really all about the story, the real story of Christ! If we take our focus off what is real and important, our focus becomes worthless instead of worthy. There was a story of a man who bought a painting at a yard sale. For a long time he thought is was worth very little and he hung it in his mud room where he took his shoes off every day. But years later he found that the painting he owned was worth millions. Do we sometimes look at our life in this way? We never come out of the mud room because we feel our life isn't worthy. God tells us we are worthy and our righteousness comes from our faith, even if it is a small as a mustard seed. We are His masterpiece. When He finished our composition, He looked and said it was good! He whispers to us "we are fearfully and wonderfully made." Mathew 10:30 and Luke 12:7 - Indeed every hair on your head is numbered! He knows you, He has given you the kiss of life! The Kiss of worthy and uniqueness and the breath of living. What greater gift, than the gift of His kiss!
